• Partition column must be time-based or sequential integer
• Chunk interval must keep recent indexes under 25% of RAM
• PK/UNIQUE must include partition column or user must approve change
• Use sparse indexes on time columns for range queries
• Segment_by and order_by should form natural time-series progression
• Avoid modifying PK/UNIQUE without user permission
• Use minmax sparse indexes on WHERE-filtered non-segment columns
• Default chunk interval is 7 days if unsure
